Garlicky Steak & Mushroom Bites
You know those days when you crave something really rich and savoury, but you don't have a lot of time or want to give much effort? This is the answer. These steak and mushroom bites are low effort, high reward.

The marinade is made with ingredients you most likely have on hand. And although the meat would benefit from hanging in the mixture for a while, as long as you give it some time to hang out, it'll take on the flavour.

INGREDIENTS
450 g sirloin steak, cut into 2.5cm cubes
1/2 tsp. paprika
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
60 ml soy sauce
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. Dijon mustard

1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
2 tbsp. butter
2 cloves garlic, crushed
225 g baby bella mushrooms, sliced
2 tsp. fresh thyme

DIRECTIONS
Season steak with paprika, salt, and pepper all over. Add soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and hot sauce to a resealable bag. Add steak and toss around to make sure steak is covered. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Remove steak from marinade and discard extra marinade. In a large pan over medium heat, heat oil. Add steak and cook tossing around for 5 minutes. Remove from pan.
Return pan over medium heat and melt butter. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, 1 minute. Add mushrooms and thyme and cook until mushrooms are golden, about 5 minutes. Return steak to skillet and toss to warm through.
